Julia Buzak is an Undergrad Student currently working toward her Bachelors in Entertainment and Arts Management at Drexel University. Before moving to the city of brotherly love, Julia served as an active-duty Marine for 8 years in the United States Marine Corps Band. She was stationed in New Orleans, LA and Kaneohe Bay, HI where she traveled around the country playing the saxophone as a Marine Musician. While on active duty, Julia was lucky enough to work on the Public Affairs team where she fell in love with communication and marketing. One of her favorite parts of being in the Marine Corps Band was having the opportunity to speak to the audiences after a concert and see the joy and happiness on their faces; knowing that she helped create it.
After leaving the service, Julia moved back to Connecticut for a little while and learned that she is quite a good receptionist! She continues to work part time while going to school as a receptionist at a veterinary hospital in the area. Julia loves having the freedom to enjoy her hobbies, which include petting as many animals as possible, and going to as many Broadway shows as possible.
Since being back in the area, Julia has seen a large handful of shows and is hopeful to make some friends in the biz. A phrase Julia has started to say to herself is ‘That’s showbiz baby!’. It really does make small inconveniences feel less significant. She recommends you try it out. Julia is currently gearing up for a fantastic summer abroad where she will work at and attend the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She is thrilled for the opportunity to hone in on her marketing skills and learn something new along the way. Julia can be reached at jbuzak2 (at) gmail (dot) com.
